Zebrano is a tough, durable and visually striking West African wood, whose heartwood is a light brown or cream color with dark blackish brown streaks vaguely resembling a zebra’s stripes. The stripes can be either chaotic and wavy – flat sawn, or somewhat long and uniform – quarter sawn.
Zebrano veneer has a fairly coarse texture and open pores, combined with wild, wavy or interlocked grain patterns, creates a powerful presence in the built environment.
